Today, the soundtrack I created with François Dumeaux for the play "A Narrative" by the Lilo Company, written by Émilie Esquerré, is released on the Pagans label.
This play tells the story of a rape, focusing on the difficult journey the victim undertakes to be able to speak about it, to free her voice in order to liberate herself from the suffering.
It is a very beautiful play that deals with memory, resilience, and the process of finding the small pieces of oneself scattered after such a destructive event. Facing it with courage and determination to regain hope. And to give hope as well.
Traditional music plays a central role, a liberating energy, raw poetry in which the narrator takes refuge to regain her breath and stand tall.
It is a must-see and a must-experience.
