I have created a new page on my website, a new page that is important to me! I have just added a section called IR's where I offer you some audio digital stuff for download, completely free, the joy of giving, the joy of receiving!
IR's, what is it ?? The IR, Impulse Response in English or Réponse Impulsionnelle in French, is a sound file recorded in a certain way that captures the sound imprint of an object, a place, a resonance box... Everything that resonates, really! Then, we can use it in the audio digital field to create reverb effects that can then be applied to any instrument or voice you are working on in the studio.
You can therefore download these sound imprints directly from the relevant section: it is a simple stereo sound file in .wav 48 kHz / 24 bits. However, to be able to use it in the studio and transform it into reverb, you will need a convolution reverb audio plugin or an IR player. I am sure you will find that on the Internet, in a simple, basic and free format.
This new section is important to me because I strongly believe in the power of sharing, particularly the sharing of our knowledge and skills! If I have reached where I am today, it is because I have stood on the shoulders of many human beings who have each given me things without expecting anything in return. Because that's how we humans are, we are social beings and social beings are nothing without the other social beings that surround them and the living world that envelops them. We should explain this to our dear sociopathic billionaires or most of our politicians.
In short, I know how to do things in the field of music but also in digital audio, so I'm sharing! I had been thinking about it for a long time and I finally took the plunge! So happy! I will add sound samples as I create them and soon I will even create a new section for free downloads. But shh, it's a secret and not just yet!
